The club is an initiative of Rositsa Sokolova who after her trip to India with the Inbound tour was inspired to continue her spiritual journey and to share her experience and the values she found there.
This new club was established with the support of the vice mayor of Kardjali, Krasimira Jivanova and over 80 students who will take part in different activities of vegetarianism and ecology and will have regular meetings to know more about the ancient wisdom of the Vedic scriptures and its spiritual ideals.
This service is especially valuable because the region is islamic and the preaching there is difficult. So our friends are really brave and enthusiastic for doing such service. The news was also published in the local newspaper and web site from which I will give you here a short extract.
"Yesterday the vice mayor Krasimira Jivanova took part in two initiatives. The "Friends of India" club was established and it is the only one in the whole region. In the meeting took part students from different classes. Rosa Sokolova was the guest of the event and she shared her experiences from her visit in India. She gave to all Indian receipts and showed pictures from her visit.
The nice atmosphere was arranged with aromatic insense and an Indian music. Part of the teachers, students and guests were dressed in Indian traditional sari. The students expressed their desire to have contact with students from India. Rosi Sokolova and the vice mayor Jivanova promissed to help in organizing the contacts."
Here below some photos from the opening of Friends of India.
