Dear devotees, readers and friends!

I am happy to share with you some news from the visit of Guru Maharaj in Nanda Falva, Hungary, passed December, 2004.

The three days visit was full of lectures, delicious prasadam of the Hungarian devotees and the kirtans of Krishnananda acharya. One of the days there was a questions-and-answers program and the children of Nanda Falva could ask Gurudev all the questions they liked. They started with questions about his favorite meal and what means his name, and continued with some questions on the different divine lilas. After this, the program continued with the questions from the elder devotees, who, in the beginning could not ask any question, compared to the youngest devotees of Nanda Falva, who had hundreds.

A new ashram was opened in Szeged - a town near Nanda Falva where the sons of Krishnananda acarya, Gouranga and Hari das are taking care of the preaching program and making prasadam distribution.

Gurudev gave three initiations - to a devotee in Eger who came with the mataji Gaura mantra, to the new sister in our mission in Bulgaria - Rohini devi and to the oldest daughter of Svarupa prabhu - Gita Govinda devi. The youngest member of the family also received a name - the newborn daughter of prabhu Svarup and mataji Vandana - the fifth child of their family. Her name is Bhagavati and the parents distributed to all the Vaishnavas 108 cows, as the tradition requires when the Brahmins have a giving name ceremony. The cows were in the form of cookies distributed to all the Vaishnavas.

Gurudev gave a wonderful lecture about the commitment. It gave light on the process of becoming more committed and engaged in the service according to the high standards of serving the Divine Couple learning first how to focus more on giving all our energy and time to the preaching and then after passing this part to discuss the higher levels of spiritual realizations as Krishna prema, raganuga bhakti and all the highest topics.

An other event was the discussion of the European Summer Mela 2005 which will take place in Nanda Falva.
