From 5th till 8th of January this year the devotees has celebrated the national meeting of the Colombian Yatra.
The assembly was directed by Srila B. A. Paramadvaiti Swami with the presence of more than 80 members of the different mandirs in Colombia.
This big istaghosti had various meetings where different preaching programs have been discussed.
Some of the most important were the presentation of the new materials for distributing the Vaisnava philosophy like new books and the "Collection of the Vedic Wisdom" (60 titles), the new web pages, music and multimedia, cd's etc.
The most important project, to which Srila Paramadvaiti paid a lot of attention, was the building of the Truly planetarium for Varsana Eco-Gardens, the new temple for Their Lordships Sri Sri Gouranga Radha Vrajesvara - the first installed deities of the Vrinda Mission in the world.
This planetarium will be similar to the one in Lima, Peru. The only difference will be that the the planetarium here will be made of rock. Mother Gangamata, Mitravinda and Prabhu Dwaraka are the devotees who are in charge for the design and the building of this big project.
Other topic of the national meeting was the Vishnupriya Ashramas. In Colombia there are six different cities where the women interested in devotional life can develop their skills with the help of all the community of the devotees.
Another important project is "Krishna - the destroyer of all the obstacles" - a sculpture situated in the major zone of the rocks of Varsana Eco-garden where there will be many sculptures of the demons killed by Sri Krishna in His childhood pastimes and one deity of Him on the top of the highest rock.
This kind of meetings are made in Colombia twice a year with the participation of the major members, temple presidents, sannyasis and devotees who take responsibility for the different projects of the yatra.
The meeting was closed with nice kirtan, prasadam and an eco-trip around the farm guided by Srila Paramadvaiti Swami.
