In Ecuador, the preparation of Mela 2003 is going on. We have constructions of the farm and permanent reunions for the proceeding of the organisation, and the next is that the posters, like all the appurtenant information; economy, activities, etc., will go to our web page. We are also initiating a program for Inbound School for ecology, making tours for students from 17 years old to the farm We also present plays to realize a subtle preaching through the conscious are, and we invite the youngsters to involve in this art.

The arrival of Srila Guru Maharaj was incredible, I sincerely sensed a change in the atmosphere and most of all in the temple when he sang in the class in the afternoon. I felt that the devotees cried for joy and emotion for having him again with us. We also had the mercy of the visit of Hrisikesh Maharaja, who with his special nature always inspires us for service and to the good accomplishment of our duties in Krishna consciousness. We also have the permanent visit of M. Trivikrama, who has come from Pasto to inspire the devotees to continue with ecstasy the sadhana and the service.
From the last 11 days when Guru Maharaj was here, I will pick out the most striking things and tell you from his visit. Something that impressed me was the incredible preoccupation for the suffering souls of Kali yuga.
In a visit by Gurudeva at the new restaurant in the northern Quito, organized by mother Gaura Vani, mother Irene (mother of Visvarupa) with the help and inspiration of mother Yamuna from Colombia, he showed interest and great preoccupation in helping the suffering people, deciding to stay for a long while preaching to all the present and specially to a lady who was very indifferent and insensible to what was happening around us. She was completely disillusioned of the world and of people in general. Gurudeva, considering this through the commentary of a mother, immediately started to preach to her in a very nice and cheerful way, but she didn't understand and he continued to explain, and the lady could not understand, she didn't even laugh at the jokes that Guru Maharaj said. She was a very suffering soul, and Gurudeva tried to the maximum to help her, forgetting that he had other compromises. Unfortunately the lady showed no understanding of what was explained to her by Gurudeva, but it was a lesson for us, the fact that one should give everything for the delivery of Krishna consciousness to the whole world, even though our compromises prevent us from that.
