Preaching in Coro

Coro is a city near the Caribbean Sea, with beautiful beaches and sandbanks. We were there to preach for three days, invited by Gopinath prabhu and her wife mother Auri. We had two yoga conferences and came to know many friends, interested in yoga and spiritual life. In fact, we pin-pointed a first visit to the city in the end of April. We shared a very devotional atmosphere and the assistants were impressed and wanted to learn more deeply about the philosophy. One of the responsible of the preaching there, Raul prabhu, will help us to develop other programs for preaching in the city in the future program.

We were also preaching in the city, and it was very special they received it, because much people don't know the devotees, they don't know what we are doing. So after having talked to them, they could appreciate the Vedic teachings and they invited us for a future program in the city, to discuss the things related to Lord Krishna and how to practice of devotional service.

We want to thank Gopinath prabhu and his wife for their efforts to help us to expend this transcendental knowledge to help others to be happy, as His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada expressed. And we also convey our reverences to our spiritual master, Gurudeva, who gave us the courage to preach in Venezuela and gives us his love on this path.

Preaching in La Victoria

La Victoria is close to Caracas, around 90 minutes away. We stayed there for five days, and had spiritual programs and preached in the city. There is one very special family there; Vrisabhanu das, mother Kirtida dd and their daughter Saraswati, together in the activities of the Yoga Inbound Academy, which works in the city. We arranged a spiritual meeting, or retreat, in the house of a very special friend, whom we learned to know, and totally 25 people came to spend the full day in spiritual activities.

They shared the different activities with the devotees, including a vegetarian cooking course, yoga, meditation exercises, health seminars, and also workshops for personal growth. And of course not to forget, the talk of Krishna consciousness and the fire ceremony, Agni Hotra, to show the different aspects of meditation in chanting the holy names of the Lord.

It was a very nice spiritual activity. We hope to realize this type of spiritual activities at least every second month with the purpose to show the Vedic culture to all people and give them the benefit of the spiritual richness, brought to the West by His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada. The reception in the city was very special, and the people took the chance to get the Vedic wisdom, the recipe books and the yoga magazine, the reincarnation book, and besides this, they bought many CDs, DVDs of preaching Krishna consciousness. It is actually a small town, but it is auspicious. Also Patita Pavana prabhu and mother Gita Govinda participated in this mission activity.

Less than two hours away from La Victoria, there are two other towns; Los Teques and Maracay, where we also came to preach – one day in each of them. And we can tell you that there we came across many old devotees, and we could encourage them a bit and also show some literature.

We thank the family of mother Kirtida dd in advance, there in La Victoria, since they received us in their house and facilitated the things for this travelling sankirtan program. She has enthused a lot of people in Krishna consciousness and we already have more than 50 friends and more than five pre-initiated. Blessings for her and her family for the contribution in working on expanding Krishna consciousness in Venezuela yatra.

In the city we also had a radio, Radio Victoria. We are very grateful for the blessings given by Gurudeva and Sr Sri Nitay Goura Narajaja, the controlling Lord of Merida, who enthuses us in this effort.
