My dear devotees, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to the preaching devotees who have such a love and who resist the many disturbances in the world of maya. Here from Europe I can report that every day it appears more opportunities to preach. Really, it is the greatest gift of Srila Prabhupada who gave us something so beautiful, that the fields of service will never end. You just have to open your mouth and speak about Krishna, and you will have invitations to continue to talk and sing without stopping.

We have a field of service open in the entire world. If you like to travel you can preach in a different village every day. But of course, if you manage to open a centre or find people who are very interested, then you have to come back to the same place, because Krishna consciousness means to care for and to develop heart-to-heart relations. My experience in this relation has been so sweet. In our stay in Barcelona, just for a few days, we were invited everywhere to preach, and there was a very auspicious atmosphere.

Where the people hear about Srila Prabhupada, everything becomes very auspicious. Srila Prabhupada and Sri Krishna is the influence that, by simply their names, can make an inauspicious moment becoming auspicious, because inclusive remembering these names at the moment of death, you will go to the spiritual world.

Considering that by chanting the holy names, one is associated with the Supreme Personality of God, there are many reasons to start the day chanting. And if you pray to the Lord that you want to become an instrument of His love, then you can say Him this prayer again, every day when starting to chant. And to never forget the importance of the relationship with Krishna, the maha mantra reminds us daily and puts us in contact with the absolute tuning. One promises at the day of initiation to daily continue to ask Krishna for this eternal service, and when taking our japas in the morning, this remembrance can make everything become something sacred to us.

Chanting the holy name of the Lord is a daily visit to the Supreme Personality of God and can set out your entire existence. You can ask Krishna what you want to do for Him, reveal to Him your mind. Ask for a maul if necessary. And above all - thank Him for everything that He has done for you. You can also ask for the mercy to help others, have enthusiasm for the service, and strength to tolerate the tests.

The chanting of the holy names is a meditation that lets us have something, for which the yogis make infinite austerities. So catch your japas every morning with all enthusiasm, and clarify your relation with the Supreme Lord. In this way you will not lose the spiritual force; the holy protection that we all need. This is also the reason why we should preach the chanting of the Holy Names to each and everyone, because with so many sorrows that humanity has, a meeting with the Supreme Personality of God would be the most spectacular that could happen to a person.

Of course, the Supersoul speaks to everyone through the inner voice, but with the chanting of the holy names, you also agree to talk with Him. You also call for Him and ask Him to help you, and this is a big difference, because if you dial the phone number to a person and when he picks up the phone, he does not speak, it does not make much sense, rather it is disturbing. Considering that the maha mantra is the telephone to God, it would be wonderful if you are well aware of what you wish from this relation with Him; if you are disposed to serve Him with all your heart or if you only look for God to give you things that you lack, as if He were your office boy whom you command.

The grand majority in the world only want to ask things from God for their material planes, but thanks to the association of Srila Prabhupada, something else has happened to us, for example to serve Him unconditionally and only long for having pure love for Him. The prayer and the meditation on the holy name is in itself purifying. It is an impressing purification, which even can take away the negative influences that we have. As Druva maharaj said, that he was searching a broken glass and found the most precious jewel.

Everything that we can do to take the meditation of the holy name to all souls is a definite blessing for us and for everyone that receives this message, inclusive if they do not chant. Just by having received the message that they should chant, already happens to be the most auspicious in their life. I hope these words animate all of you to become messengers of the holy name of Krishna anywhere. The holy name will bring instant joy to those who chant, and will end all the sorrows that we have suffered by our ignorance. All the other preaching and contacts have as result or goal that people get inclined to personally make contact with Lord Krishna through the chanting of the holy names. And the messengers of the holy names are the most important souls and we should be very careful to not offend them or make them feel bad, because the first offence against the holy name is exactly this, to offend those who have dedicated to propagate the message of spiritual love. To animate the entire world to chant Hare Krishna is the most beautiful of activities.

Apart from this, it is also important to create an atmosphere so that those who chant the names of God do not become unenlivened. I feel very much inclined to remain permanently with you, I mean with each one of you in your diverse places; I feel very enthused to do so. To dedicate yourself to a city, to a people and their needs, appears to me to be a great benediction. But for some of us, like myself, the karma makes us run, run and run, and for some of you it gives the mercy to stay, stay and stay. But if we work beautifully together, we can be successful in having many more human beings chanting the holy names and many more souls whose bodies have taken prasadam, and in this way our lives will have great mercy.
