The modern materialist bases his idea that existence is only chaos. The Vedas refute out of hand the idea that everything is chaos and present a cosmological vision of a cosmology that is not found parallel in humanity, and which also coincides to a large degree with modern scientific discoveries. Mythotherapy creates a circumstance which we call the mystical healing cross. This cross is produced when the myth, the revelation, crosses with the logo, or the appreciation of the human intellect. Mythotherapy is in no way an imposition which tries to bring in people through fear into an institutional dogma.
Mythotherapy allows the patient to find in the transcendental revelations enough force to produce a strong faith, a clarity of how one should act for the benefit of oneself and his surroundings, family, society, planet, etc. Naturally, mythotherapy teaches an holistic form of life, helping the natural, the organic, the integral, the vegetarian; best said, the actions of the maximum responsibility and consciousness of each being. Mythotherapy puts the responsibility to heal oneself in the hands of each individual, and it brings the help of millennial wisdom and human conduct.
Mythotherapy is in reality the brahminical advice given by spiritual masters, older spiritual brothers, in the history of humanity to the people who look for their health. Mythotherapy also helps in the discovery that at the end of the day there is only the truth, which is one. A Supreme Father who loves all humanity and all living beings. With this in mind, Mythotherapy has the capacity of not only treating individual conflicts but also to resolve national and international conflicts. This is because Mythotherapy embraces the concepts of universal love.
The present situation in the world, with its intense increase of people affected with depressions makes it urgent that mythotherapy is developed and perfected in human society to counteract the depressions in the world, many therapies have come forward, and the specialised doctors often result in using psychopharmacy, group therapies and other measures. We want to help all the forms of therapy as well as all the patients. People who suffer from mental illnesses in reality need a change of lifestyle. Our whole society is passing through an intense epoch of frustration, and intoxication is one of those stupid ways to escape from this frustration, and the weakened mind – from many different substances and situations – loses the equilibrium easily. One can imagine that a great part of hereditary effects can become manifest in the children when the mental and physical health of their progenitors has been affected.
How many children, for example, are being brought to the world from drugged up mothers and fathers? Human society is not taking care of itself. What is the biggest fallacy of our modern society? It is the indifference, maybe through not knowing, that each cause produces an effect or that each effect must have a cause. And by living in ignorance of this connection between cause and effect, humanity continues to rubbish and ruin each day their health and the condition of the planet to provide a good life to its children, grand children and future generations.
Mythotherapy is the natural therapy which looks for an answer to the conflicts and difficulties in the laws of material nature with the help and backing of divine revelation, which have been offered to humanity to help them live life correctly and to reach the goal of life. The goal of life, in general according to mythotherapy, is to live a sane and accomplished life in all one's earthly relationships. Also, one should try to understand one's identity beyond the physical body, mental and intellectual body – the astral body. And above that, to raise ones consciousness to love all living beings and the creator who maintains us. Love of God in its many forms, and respect for the faiths of others, is important for Mythotherapy to take on a universal appeal.
As you see, mythotherapy is not something strange, and even less and imagination. It is so real as the reality that we are really here. We are mystical, we are beings who are aware of out own awareness and of the world around us. We have self determination and responsibilities, we are able to be thankful and to give thanks, we are visitors in this transitory world. We could succeed here in some intents to perform wonderful works or we could rubbish everything by making only some half attempt, which will then proceed us in the form of bad karma in future lives.
Best said, mythotherapy can help to bring relief to humanity, individual and collective. Therefore, let us incorporate mythotherapy in the courses of our virtual Vaisnava academy – transcendental psychology. I am asking for the help of all psychologists and sane people to take advantage of this intent to offer to the world a therapy which can, with its different aspects, heal its problems – he chanting of the holy names, study of the scriptures, pilgrimages, different aspects of yoga, adoration, conscious and spiritual alimentation. The compromises as a basis of voluntary offerings to these revelations are immediate aids we can offer. It is also important to understand that the mercy of the revelations come from the Supreme, and in a certain way descend to the lowest levels of human consciousness. There is hope for us all.
The Vedas describe three modalities of material nature. The perception of a person in the modality of ignorance can not appreciate the same thing as another person who is in the mode of passion. And the person in the mode of passion has not the capacity to see things as they are seen by someone in the mode of goodness. So, just as the three primary colours mix to form the rainbow, in a similar way the three modalities of nature mix and form all types of characters. Only in the modality of goodness does this being have the lucidity to fully appreciate the importance and healing properties of the divine revelations, or myths. This means that the perfect healing cross is produced when the consciousness of the individual is totally in the mode of goodness. In this level the individual can even reach self realisation. In the more adulterated levels, by passion and ignorance, the myths can be appreciated only partially, incompletely. But what can be realised is that for ones own benefit one must work to clean one's conscience of ignorance and passion to receive most benefit from the consciousness of pure goodness. For those people who have no faith in a traditional spiritual path, mythotherapy offers then a path of thanks to mother nature as is the reason both for the Vedas as well as the religiosity of many tribes and indigenous peoples that have lived on the planet.
As human beings we have the potential and the duty to mutually enrich ourselves, communicating our valuable achievements with others. This is the perennial system that has marked out humanity, whether it be scientific, medicinal, cultural, or in general. Also, such myths have been disseminated by their followers with a certain enthusiasm. Only when mixed interests have mixed with spiritual messages does this cause a chaos for humanity, and this is a major reason why atheism has become such a substantial force, manifested by a society without values with an intense predomination of exploitation and indifference.
You all know that in terms of the Vedic tradition I could say many more things about this theme, but in this presentation about mythotherapy I wanted to leave it more general. For those who suffer from depression, we recommend that they consult with their respective doctors, but also that they please take on board the great need to locate oneself in this world in a positive and constructive position and that they seek to find their relationship with the transcendent. All living beings have different karmas, of which we have to learn to live with. But at the same time, in the mythotherapy, we learn that there exists a divine pardon, that there exists a divine force which can even transform our karma.
One very important aspect of the therapy is to associate with those who have a beautiful faith, an enthusiasm to make beautiful things, who do not live bitterly only criticising others. Of course, the system is extensive, and only one little writing can not satisfy the need. For this, we hope that we can offer many mythotherapists who can help in all parts. Of course, the Lord's mature devotees always act in this manner, but with a more scientific basis and with the backing of investigations it could reach many more people in the world. From this text we could make a pamphlet called "depressions and the search for mythotherapy".
