Dear devotees, please accept my dandavat pranams.
I would like to share some photos and memories from Guru Maharaja's
visit in India, Gaura Purnima 2005.
Guru Maharaja arrived on 5. of March to Vrindavan, Vrinda-kunja, Sri
Gauranga Radha Vrajeswara. As is always the case, the word spread that Gurudeva is in Vrindavan and immediately different devotees like Sadhu Maharaja and friends like the Mayor of Vrindavan, etc came to meet with Gurudeva to discuss different services.
We also had an initiation ceremony, Lars from Germany was initiated by
Guru Maharaja, his spiritual name is Ekachakra das.

Guru Maharaja many times stressed in his classes that hearing daily
Bhagavatam was most important for devotees in order
to make spiritual progress.

On 12 March Gurudeva and 6 devotees travelled by train to Calcutta, in
the train Guru Maharaja gave a speech in which
he again stressed the same point of hearing and speaking daily
Bhagavatam. A temple without daily Bhagavatam
cannot be considered a temple. Again and again he stressed this point,
that we should not be lazy.

On Sunday Guru Maharaja attended the Chat from Chaitanya Gaudiya Math
in Calcutta.

Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Maharaja was present and Gurudeva handed
him over the first Avocado (Avocado was
not known before to Maharaja). Gurudeva mentioned that Chaitanya
Gaudiya Math is the most technologically advanced
Mission because they are conducting Life Video Chat over the Internet,
every Saturday, with Srila Tirtha Maharaja,
Guru Maharaja congratulated him for this. Srila Tirtha Maharaja is
presently serving as the president of the World Vaishnava
Association, they also discussed about the next meeting which will take
place on the 22. of March in Sri Mayapur dham.

Gurudeva with Arjuna Prabhu from Holland on the way to Srila Bhakti
Kumud Shanta Maharaja, one of the last living
disciples of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur.

In a very sweet atmoshpere Srila Shanta Maharaja (92 years) received
Gurudeva in his room.

Srila Shanta Maharaja was very happy about the visit and he asked every
devotee personally about his name and service.
He was very worried about the welfare and invited the devotees for
Prasadam. Maharaja also quoted few times a verse
about the temporary nature of the world, and he repeatedly asked the
devotees if they understood the meaning.

After the wonderful darshan we continued our visit to Srila Gopananda
Bon Maharaja, Acharya of the Radha Govinda Trust.
Gurudeva discussed the next WVA meeting with Bon Maharaja and
participated in the kirtan and Bhajan.

For the pleasure of the Devotees,
from Chaitanya Gaudiya Math, Calcutta
Your servant
Gaura Keshava das
